5 Ways To Create Better Content

Now more than ever social media is taking off in so many ways! Whether you are growing your business or growing your following, having great content will take you far and help get the engagement you need! Check out 5 ways to create better pole content!

Improve Your Lighting

Making sure you are recording videos in a well lit space can make or break if people stick around and double click your content.  Bright spaces with natural light always looked great for pole.  If you do not have natural light, investing in a ring light will brighten up your videos as well.

This is our absolute favorite Ring Light and it’s on Amazon!

CLEAR THE CLUTTER

Whether you are poling from home or at a studio take time to  clear the space in your video.  Having bags and towels and clothes all over the place is a distraction to anyone viewing your content. If you are poling from home, take a moment to straighten up your pole area.   Take into account how close you are to the camera.  If the video is too close and cuts off your leg or arm, try setting up your camera farther away so that you can see your entire body in the shot.

TAKE TIME TO EDIT

Editing can make all the difference in your content. If you look at successful IG pole accounts, you will notice their videos and photos have something in common and that is the aesthetic!  Having a consistent look can really be eye catching to your audience so they know who you are without even seeing the IG name! No one wants to see you set up your camera, wipe the pole down, pick your wedgie, wipe the pole down again, and THEN start poling. Cut the video to the point you want your followers to see. For photos, using presets or editing apps like Adobe Light Room will help build a consistent look for your page.

CHECK YOUR TIMING

Timeliness is a huge factor on Instagram. Do you know when your followers are most active? Finding out your best time to post and get the most engagement is based on your unique audience.  Turning your page into a business or creator profile and using your insights to see when your audience is most active is key for making sure your content is being seen!

TECHNIQUE, TECHNIQUE, TECHNIQUE

This is a tough one but it is all out of love! Technique matters! Flexed feet, bent legs, and bad pole technique that does not look safe just for views is never the answer.  Go the extra step and point those toes! Sometimes the simplest flow with great lines and beautiful movement makes for the best content.  Not everything has to be about the hardest pole trick, especially if you risk injury or you are not ready to try that move.
